Celebrating 20 years in Asia

Two decades ago, Brompton founder Andrew Ritchie first started receiving enquiries to sell Brompton bikes further afield.

Tourists visiting London and other European cities had seen these compact folding bikes whizzing around the streets and wanted one for themselves.

Bromptons soon started appearing in neighbourhoods across the Asia Pacific region and were an instant hit.

2019 marked 20 years from when the first Brompton bikes were sold in Asia. We celebrated this milestone with the new and exclusive 20 Years in Asia Gold Edition, representing good fortune and prosperity. Exclusively for Asia and made in limited numbers, only 1,000 bikes were produced.

Launched as part of the festive Lunar New Year celebrations, the golden lacquered frame of the 20th anniversary edition accentuates the sleek, impeccably crafted steel tubing, whilst striking black gloss components stand out in contrast. The black Brooks B17 saddle is handcrafted in the UK with premium British Leather. Brompton Gold Edition is no longer available.
